I reached into my mailbox last week and a spider climbed up my hand. I was not thrilled about this, to say the least.

Whenever I have considered moving to other places, always one of my serious considerations is the bug situation.

National insect & Disease Risk Map.

Northern Idaho….yikes!

There are insects in Colorado?

Even though we have these creepy assholes we don’t have any mosquitoes at all. Which I consider a worthy trade off.

I keep finding these in my trash can

We have these in the neighborhood and I let them live because they eat scorpions

Fair point.

I like my place. Spiders are tiny, mosquitoes are tiny, snakes are tiny and rare, I've never seen a bear or wolf... in terms of wilderness is Czechia cute at most.

There are only a few species of spiders that are dangerous, But bugs on you when you spend most of your life in a domestic shelter generally are uncomfortable. I was bit by a black widow when I was 15. It was a horrible fever and cramps throughout my whole body. The brown recluse and brown widow are both also human toxic species. But the deadly ones usually are the hardest to find.

100%%%% I am super sensitive! Even a damn fly can bite and I got a gnarly scar from a fly bite! I kid you not! We were buying a small sail boat at a horse ranch and that flying b1+ch bit me on the shin! It took months for that bite to heal... from a horse fly!!!!

I was so pissed when the husband ended up buying the damn boat...🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
