It's always a terror for me as I can't predict what kind of abomination people may cook and expect I like it lol
I don't have that issue if it's just for snacks or tea/coffee, but I hate having dinner at other people's places because I learned early in life that the average person doesn't know how to cook at all. I remember on MasterChef years ago, the competitors were asked to cook rice and beans, and they got it wrong. Then a bunch of people on Twitter started laughing, saying, "Hahaha, how fake, it's just rice!" Well, it so happens that most people, even housewives, have no clue how to cook rice and beans properly.
Yeah I'm also ok if it's just drinks and snacks but homemade cooking I'll just refuse if possible. And yeah I experienced that, almost melted beans and hardy rice 😔
I have some cooking book around to help me and even still my cooking sucks but avarage people do worse and have strange taste to boost it.
