This is a great concept, I heard it on JRE a few years ago. Imho it demonstrates high morals.

I agree 100% with that, is really tough to be ready to literally let a part of yourself die in order to adopt a new truth. It requires both humility and strength of character imo.
💯🎯. If I find it I'll let you know but I think it might have been one of the Gad Saad episodes. Gad was talking about Joe having the traits of a PhD student demonstrating a high degree of open mindedness. Joe went on to say that one had to separate ideas from oneself and be willing to change opinions when presented with new evidence.
I think being orangepilled demonstrates this quality quite well. I believe outsiders see Bitcoin maxis as narrow minded but i have always said and believed that this cohort has some of the highest mental liquidity. If I could go back into my tweets I do believe I tweeted something similar.
I would love to see some serious research on this topic, I think is interesting to see if there is a personality trait or a combination that predicts how likely it is that you fall into the rabbithole
