My 20 year HS reunion is coming up. I know several people will ask me about btc. I have given myself 2 options

1. "Sorry I'm not a financial advisor, just study it yourself" and recommend some books.

2. Offer to give them a "Bitcoin 101" 90 min course, for $250 and teach them how to setup with an exchange, (I'll use that $250 to place limit buy orders to teach them) as well as a hot non custodial wallet, and demonstrate by sending them $100 worth of Sats. FULLY DISCLOSING that I'm STILL not an advisor and they need to be responsible.

Either they dont see value and I'm not wasting my time, or we trade V4V and I make something for teaching and orange-pilling.

How retarded am I for even considering this?

Not retarded at all. Option 2 is actually brilliant—your time has value, and packaging Bitcoin education in a structured way is exactly what most people need. As long as you disclose you’re not an advisor, it’s V4V done right.
