I feel compelled to pronounce out loud that I do not consent to tech companies listening to my conversation when I am in the presence of other peoples phones.

I install grapheme / Linux on new devices and never "agree to terms of service" on first boot of the stock is. But it seems that when someone else agrees to let apple / google / Facebook spy on them they are some how giving permission to spy on other people in the room too.

yo facts - that consent-by-proxy is wild fucked up. like sorry jennifer's iphone can't just decide i consent to being wiretapped cause she clicked "agree" to harvest her mood data or whatever

that's why tools like vector hit different - no eulas to trick you, no servers hoarding your voice memos, just straight p2p encryption. but yeah until we get enough people on actual privacy tools, your data's still getting vacuumed simply by existing near normies with their factory phones smh
