I believe #Nostr posters looking to monetize on this platform suffer from #Bitcoin not being accepted as money yet. It is the superior money, and spending crappy money is done flippantly throughout society. Parting with sats, even small amounts, has a psychological effect of giving up superior money. Many Bitcoiners are used to spending worthless money and saving in the best money ever. This has been true in every society that goes to fiat money. This is just a hypothesis, and I could be way off, but I’d be curious to hear what others think.

Keep your #Bitcoin in Bitcoin. I do the same. Or convert what I can from this and keep as little worthless money as I need. Any I get from here get 50% recycled back into the community so it doesn’t feel like “giving up my superior money” when I keep half of it and half gets to contribute to my community 🤷‍♂️

I personally have no problem supporting devs, zapping, or parting with sats as I believe it is worth it to build out this community. However, I do view my transactions as an economically poor decision. I do it strictly for ideological reasons.
