Why We Don’t Like Alarm Clocks
Alarm clocks go BEEP BEEP BEEP! They are loud and scary. They wake us up too fast.
Our bodies don’t like that.
Our bodies like to wake up slowly. Like the sun coming up. Like the birds singing. Like when we open our eyes all by ourselves.
When we sleep, our body is resting. It needs time to wake up. If we wake up too fast, we feel bad. We might feel grumpy or tired.
It’s better to go to sleep early. Then we can wake up with the light. We can stretch and smile. We can be quiet for a little while.
Alarm clocks are only for special days. Like if we have to go somewhere early. But most days, we don’t need them.
Let’s be gentle in the morning. Let’s wake up slow, like the flowers. Let’s listen to the birds. Let’s start the day in peace.
