For #v4v music podcast like from nostr:nprofile1qqszy58kj62v9fpe98nhuh0q76np4e0r0g0wd44rhth3wphdnyqjfzcpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq3wamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwvd6hyun9de6zuenedyq3yamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wwccxctnfduyrnr5s, nostr:nprofile1qqsxj7j6m0urzhm8lgsalud8aqz5zt4a52s6mhep3g8e8cg6hte03rqpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhszrnhwden5te0dehhxtnvdakz7duuwhd and more how are you generating your valuereceipient tags?

Because holy crap, I spent several hours on it today, trying to manually match guids, find urls, and it didn't work. Maybe it works now? It seems like the only way to know is to push it live and then see?

And I'm manually calculating durations with a calculator which ALSO has to be done for the chapters!

What is the work flow for this because all this stuff is very painful, tedious, and I'm like editing xml and json by hand. It kinda sucks.

For the record I'm completely self hosting. Castapod running in my basement.

nostr:npub1t6njrhtc9q3f5wdrwfrhpypq3kes5mpdx4u4rw9w2pxjanuxcpkqveagv3 just uses nostr:npub1gr65v2hqq83n3vqfh6m65eej65hxlqwyjp0echc9ghvw5p6pvqpse3mmjc and lets nostr:npub186ptarjwp53k6tz5fyzj2t0wcu9wtahrdh8lqca0j7065cuxfvksparxqq figure it out. πŸ˜‚

nostr:npub1f49twdlzlw667r74jz6t06xxlemd8gp2j7g77l76easpl8jsltvqvlzpez On RSS Blue, you can utilize super chapters, which take care of all of this. If you want, you can then copy the feed and self-host it. Feel free to email me at dovydas at rssblue dot com

Oh ok so basically use rss blue like an editor? I fine self hosting, but the rss xml is kicking my ass. I'll give it a shot.

Yes, essentially. Here's a guide you might useful: https://rssblue.com/help/music-shows

Ok I will try maybe tomorrow. Really appreciate the help.

Ah, it needs a subscription 😞 is nobody doing this self hosted?

It’s relatively simple on Wavlake, or nostr:npub1gr65v2hqq83n3vqfh6m65eej65hxlqwyjp0echc9ghvw5p6pvqpse3mmjc. Just need to enter track and time.

That's awesome. I mean I'm picking the tracks from y'all but then manual going through the rss.

But I won't have any self respect if I don't self host my own zine. πŸ˜€

I pre record all my shows in my DAW. I set markers while recording (or editing) to tell me where my time stamps will be when I am setting up my chapters in nostr:nprofile1qqsypa2x9tsqrceckqymada2vued2tn0s8zfqhuutuz5tk82qaqkqqcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumt0wd68ytnsw43qzxthwden5te0wfjkccte9eeks6t5vehhycm99ehkuegprpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezucm0d9hxvatwvshxzursff2657. nostr:nprofile1qqsypa2x9tsqrceckqymada2vued2tn0s8zfqhuutuz5tk82qaqkqqcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumt0wd68ytnsw43qzxthwden5te0wfjkccte9eeks6t5vehhycm99ehkuegprpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezucm0d9hxvatwvshxzursff2657 is set up so that you can import the song feed (very helpful) and adjust the start and stop time of each track. Naturally, I also have the lightning Wallet address of my guests before I upload and publish.

I know my way around a studio but have have been technically minded when it comes to coding and the Internet. nostr:nprofile1qqsypa2x9tsqrceckqymada2vued2tn0s8zfqhuutuz5tk82qaqkqqcpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumt0wd68ytnsw43qzxthwden5te0wfjkccte9eeks6t5vehhycm99ehkuegprpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezucm0d9hxvatwvshxzursff2657 has made it very easy for me to be a podcaster.

Automating the marker export is a good idea for the timestamps. Thanks, I'll look into that. I realize now y'all are using wavlake or rss blue for the time Value Splits. After today, I know now how that rss is formed so hopefully it's easier next time I do it. Thank you.

One last thing..... We need more podcasters, more musicians, more listeners, more developers, more everything. THANK YOU FOR ASKING NOSTR how to do this. We need you. Jump in. Get your hands all nerdy. I'm happy to jump on a call and dive deeper with you.

Amazing thank you. I think we've got the crisis solved for the moment though.

at Podhome.fm, you can host your music show and simply configure value recipients and much more. You can even go live in the podcast apps. Go try it out at www.podhome.fm

Yeah that's awesome. I think this makes it easy. I want to self host though.

But I know appreciate what these services are doing for you so I'm living the pain to educate others.
