I would like to try connecting multiple wallets to my Node so going through Lightning Node Connect but a bit stuck as not very technical. Are both node and phone IPs hidden with this set up? Node is running behind Tor.

Private VPN IPs: special private IPs, generated in a public server, with encryption and secured access, that offers to users a dedicated tunnel through an internal private IP range, directly to your home devices. Each point / device will have its own IP, in the same range. This is what Tailscale is using.

Using Tailscale doesn’t mean your Umbrel is fully accessible on clearnet. Only you have a dedicated private access using a faster connection than Tor.

Hope that helps✌️

I think I understand what you're saying but would I be able to run multiple segregated wallets connected to my Node via Tailscale?

I dont think so but why dont you try it.

Honestly, when I was looking at it a few months ago and saw they needed my email address I gave it a pass. May look into it again. Thanks for your help

Yeah i didnt like that too, but i accept that its a company and that they somehow need to make money. But besides from that, it works perfectly and super fast with Zeus so far!

Fair play, managed to find a solution last night. Phoenix Wallet connects to Electrum over Tor now. Sorted. The individual wallets need to open their own channels but Phoenix just introduced splicing making it a lot easier for users to manage channels so perfectly usable for joe public with a Bitcoiner friend IMO.
