Well of course but that’s the deep talk that confuses them again my generation not to tech savvy.. yes I agree that fear is there no large sums always cold storage.. but to bring that up to them at this point would have made them disinterested

I agree with you there, you definitely have to give new people orange pilling in doses. You started them off right with the easiest approach. I usually do the same depending on the persons tech saviness. If I started someone on a custodial wallet, I usually end with let me know when they hit a threshold of btc which is different for everyone person I talk to by knowing their financial situation better. This way I can help level them up off a custodial wallet after hitting that threshold. Then I explain to them difference between your physical wallet aka you btc hot wallet and your bank account aka cold storage. Wallet of Satoshi has gotten pretty big they might start catching eye of governments and others. My biggest worry. I remember onboarding people in 2014-2015 then in the last bear market and a couple lost their seed backups and lost their bitcoin even after me telling them that was most important thing to protect and backup. Luckily wallets have gotten better but sadly most people are used to the fiat system where they are not responsible with securing their money so they are careless or cry about how hard it is.
