Mike Hearn: „…are you planning on rejoining the community at some point, or is your plan to permanently step back from the limelight?“

Satoshi:“ I‘ve moved on to other things. It‘s in good hands with Gavin and everyone.“

Last valid message from Satoshi in April 2011. He mailed with Google employee and early Bitcoiner Mike Hearn. After having work for 3 years on Bitcoin he left the project.

Having read the whole „Kicking the Hornet‘s Nest“ it seems to me that Satoshi was both exhausted from the tremendous work of coding and building and he felt like its time to step back and leave it to the community.
