I lost my Bitcoin wallet. Here's what I’m doing now.

I recently lost access to a cold wallet with ~100k sats.

No hacks. No scams. Just a simple, brutal truth: I wrote the seed wrong.

I tried everything:

btcrecover, different derivation paths, hours of debugging.

Nothing worked.

At first, I felt wrecked. But then I realized:

This is Bitcoin.

No reset buttons. No “forgot my password.”

Only sovereignty and responsibility.

So I’m starting fresh:

Cold wallet setup with Tails + Sparrow

Seed handwritten on paper

Watching-only wallet for daily use

No passphrases, no overcomplication

Back to 20k sats — but with way more experience.

The 100k sats I lost? Consider it tuition.

Now I’m stacking smarter, with even more respect for this tool.

Pain is a great teacher. Bitcoin doesn’t forgive, but it rewards discipline.
