Precisely. One would have to be seriously deluded to think that Elon bought Twatter for any kind of altruistic reason. Many know this, and yet they're still on X, feeding Grok. Even as "passive" observers that never post anything, their every move feeds the beast.
The pop culture focus is Elon and judging who he is and isn’t.
I don’t presume to think i could know his intentions, which would not be one dimensional.
None of this matters to me in terms of choices. Centralization attracts corruption. Decentralization, while more difficult, mitigates some of this, and is the wiser choice. Convenience, laziness, and pop culture momentum push against choosing sovereignty
