Got hay delivered again today. We're probably holding about 150-175% of a winters hay feeding.
These rounds were staged to be fed out first. We still have about a month of grazing ahead of the herd, but having about half of the winter hay lined up so it just needs cut and unrolled is a great feeling.
We would need a snow pack of at least 2 feet for us to have to change our winter feeding plans, but with a barn full of hay we'll be ready for that too.
We've got 28 4x4 round bales lined up for these 4 acres. Should be about double the nutrients hitting this field compared to last winter. Trying to build fertility in this field so we can get it in to our regular grazing plan this spring.
