Syrian Druze leader Laith al-Balous:

We don’t need Israel or anyone else to protect us.

Syria is our only homeland. We live with dignity or die with dignity. That has been our stance since the revolution.

We reject foreign interference and partition. With a legitimate Syrian state, such talk is unacceptable.
