Getting an early start on my weed plants this year. I am allowed to grow 12, so why not go big. Those to go containers make great seed starting humidity domes. I just planted vegetable seeds in them. It is time to pot up those weed plants in one gallon containers. I'm thinking of planting some seeds for companion plants/ ground cover in the gallon pots. Any suggestions?

Do you like to start seeds or direct plant? What vegetables do you like to start early?

I'm starting Brussels sprouts, tomatoes, peppers, watermelon, and various lettuce varieties. I think I will direct plant these too because I'm not sure what does better direct planted or transplanted. I have time and space to start more because I'll be moving the bigger plants to a cold frame or greenhouse in a couple weeks.
