Replying to Monkey Pox Denier

There was this boomer thing in Germany where you saved for a house.

The contract was like really low interest rates for your savings, but you would get a credit from the bank for the missing sum at "relatively low" interest rates when you build/buy the house.

A lot of people had this shit because their boomer parents made such a contract for them when they where kids and saved on that thing.

Now a few years ago, interest rates started dropping and dropping, finally below zero.

The people all held their boomer-house building-savings-contracts with the low but still positive interest rates.

The banks went crazy and tried at all costs to talk people out of these contracts, arguing that holding was not what the contract was made for but to build a house.

Finally they forced a court decision so you have to build or end the contract within 2 years of reaching your "savings goal" stated in the contract.

Funny though it was watching them cry about their own shitty financial advise.

Yeah, they don’t like it when the financial product is working for the customer.
