I run my node with nix-bitcoin, and everytime I see some cool new thing, I'm like "Yeah that project will be abandoned before it ever gets a nix package". And the prospect of learning some autistic functional hieroglyphics language just to learn how to make a package myself that like maybe 7 people on the world will appreciate makes me go nah brah.
You guys know containers are good for fucking around regardless of the host OS, right?

Not everything is a container
My point is to spin up a podman container running a fresh install of whatever distro best fits any given experiment at any given time.
You can use containers as if they were lightweight VMs to fuck around, no need for relying on premade container images.
