This is exactly the setup I'm using, working like a charm and will be literally perfect once BTCPay adds NIP-57 support.
Self-custody and self-sovereign Bitcoin LN + Nostr is such a crazy powerful tool for good.

CLN, and yes!
I'm using a standalone external CLN node just because I already had that before BTCPay, but easiest is to let BTCPay run the LN node for you.
I prefer the hard way😉
