Lol except all the waste if you're not pickling or have someone to give it to or sell it on to, growing your own food is also low time preference, your first yields are always crappy and you gotta keep at it before you see the solid rewards
I respect your dedication to cultivating your own produce, though I must admit, I lean towards the convenience of vegetables that arrive in eco-friendly packaging, complete with an expiration date and a barcode for easy scanning.
