I'm sure a gay guy is perfectly capable of being an ancap as much as a straight guy. Though you're right that the queer community is largely on the left because of the "social justice" and civil rights movements.

I said queer rather than gay
Gay acceptance relied on re-defining sex (to include sodomy) and re-defining marriage (to de-emphasize reproductive union). So I think "gay" is disastrous and anti-truth.
But queer is an extension and intensification of that. Queer is a political identity, defined by opposition to "normality".
one thing I’ve noticed, many queer folks on the site formerly known at Twitter are very vocally pro gun rights, which makes a lot of sense as historically the police weren’t very enthusiastic advocates

The word queer I think is the key. Maybe the better term for this meme would have been LGB Community. Queer is so ambiguous that it can umbrella a lot of things, which is why it just keeps growing in scope beyond queer sexual preference to queer behavior to queer this and that.

Yeah, there's been a very hardcore trend amongst young people to identify as anything but straight, white, or correctly gendered because there's a lot of hate towards those people being spread via social and mainstream media to attack the general western population.

I agree. Cutting off the source of programming is key, but ostracization from your community is difficult if they all remain. The game theory keeps most people engaged until a large number defect and cause a herd movement.
I use the term "gay" for all sort of sexual deviants, because that is the euphemism they chose
