Fully? Or raising the minimum amount for marketing content?
I’m not opposed to the idea theoretically because you’re adding value to the consumer but I want to know what safeguards are in place to not spam. Cuz I get really small zaps from bots frequently and it’s my favorite.

As bitcoin is permissionless, it is an interesting topic.
I see 3 solutions with different protection levels:
1️⃣ You remove your lightning address. You won't get any zaps, but also no spam.
2️⃣ You set a minimum invoice amount to your address with a lightning proxy. You can get zaps, but not small. You can get spam but not small.
3️⃣ We can make a way to define your minimum zap amount without setting minimum invoice amount. You can get small zap, but only big spam. Unfortunately if someone wants, he can bypass this if not enforced.
But if people can't spam with my app, they will do other ways as lightning allows it. So option 3 is not really "trustable". So lightning proxies have to be smarter I guess to set minimum invoice amount per user basis. So you can allow specific users lower minimum invoice amount. But this can also have disadvantages.
The sooner spam evolves, the sooner proxies will emerge I guess.

If you provide a lightning address, anyone can send you funds.
I know no wallets that allow you to decline payments based on their sender. But I guess that would be the way to really fight spam is with keeping the benefits, that you can disallow senders. But I guess an even cooler feature would be mutes. You just mute the sender. You get the sats, but no message 😂 That could also change the game for zapvertising as well. 😂
Yeah I definitely think that option 2 is the best solution. The only thing that bothers me is that I check my phone already a lot and spam notifications just aren’t my favorite. Not to say that I wouldn’t be receptive to seeing what a product is from such a notification if it caught my eye.
