Slowly then suddenly people will flock to nostr once they realize how censored everything else is.
I believe it can be when btc is in its up up up trend ppl will want btc like always and then they will join nostr. That can be one way.

Just be patient, bitcoin is 14 years old and we haven't even reached 0.5% adoption with nostr, it won't be any different. π€
I'm in the process of getting together a book of my InkblotArt. It's exclusive to nostr, so the foreword will be nostr heavy. Hopefully it gains traction in the real world.

Honestly I think it needs adoption by communities outside of bitcoin. It would take some sort of mass migration by people not talking about bitcoin for it to become something other than a very fancy bitcoin telegram group.
Which is I see hope in the 'Communities' subreddit type feature I can't stop banging on about lol.
imo the bugginess is second to the content, people will tolerate a bit (not an excessive amount tho lol) of bugginess cos that is being worked on. I think above that is content. People who have joined in waves, like when that Matt Taibbi guy joined, dorm stay for long. And it's quite common to see complaints about content. No one will stay for bitcoin slogans except bitcoin twitter.
Giving people tools to make their own corner here in Communities is a good idea.
I think it's a longshot. Bluesky probably will have a lot of attention.

it will succeed for bitcoiners only mainstream techie doesnt give a shit about nostr, until big youtube channel talk about nostr or someone like joe rogan use it we will continue to only have 2k - 8k daily active users, congrats bluesky & mastodon
More niche communities with content. Right now it's pretty much Bitcoin and Bitcoin adjacent content.
Video game streaming might be a good draw given the number of people into that who are less likely to be tech challenged.
An easier way for people to view hashtags being actively used would be helpful so that people are following what interests them.
I very morbidly think that the uptake of #bitcoin and #nostr is directly proportional to the amount of pain people feel when interacting with the alternative systems that they're currently forced to use.
Freedom technology solves a problem that most people in privileged nations don't know they have because they're just in a light drizzle of piss and don't really mind as opposed to the torrential downpours experienced by literally everyone else.
It's the everyone else that will frontrun freedom technology at least in terms of numbers; people who know the problem and accept the solution. What gets those people on the new system is awareness, education, ease of use, experience, and familiarity. I think the most important aspect to preserve is the survivability of the protocol, because so long as it survives, people will adopt it and walk through a one way door of empowerment that they'll fight to keep using the tools they've been given.
Just need to let other social media platforms continue doing what they do.

Absolutely valid point! To expand on your point, we are the early adopters of #nostr akin to the early adopters of #Bitcoin . Now, we need to wait for the hyperbolic adoption.
