The Fed doesn't want unemployment. If the fed can tamp down inflation without unemployment blowing up, they win. If unemployment blows up and inflation is still running rampant, they are in deep trouble and they know this. Everyone pricing in a Fed pivot is wrong as well. The Fed will not pivot unless unemployment does blow up to 8-10%.
