So if I understand correctly, we should be afraid of Putin because Russia isn't a democracy and at the same time support the EU, which is canceling the elections in Romania because the winner doesn't suit them.

I really hope that they go into full resistance mode. No limits, whatever it takes. Enough is enough.
Oh, they will, trust me. I still remember (maybe 15 years ago) when they stormed their parliament, pulled out some politicians outside and literally threw them in the nearest trash containers. I wish we were like that here in Bulgaria. Our ruling coalition is fighting tooth and nail to get us in the Eurozone by 2026. The opposition was able to collect 600k signatures for a countrywide referendum (that’s the minimal amount under to constitution) and they disregarded this completely. There was a minor protest that ended up with the vandalisation of the EU parliament headquarters in Sofia, but that’s all. So yeah, I wish we were like our Romanian neighbours.
