In the same way that Bitcoin, when looking 100 years from now, is the only store-of-value that I think makes sense

Ie superior to Debt (Bonds), Equities (Companies), Gold (or other precious metals), Fiat (USD etc), or Collectibles (Fine art / classic cars)

Is Nostr the equivalent for digital content?

Ie you’re building on a open protocol (set of rules), rather than a platform (company)

So in the same way that inflation is a huge risk for long term wealth management, store-of-value, then platform risk is a huge risk for content creators, as you’re always building on rented digital real estate (freedom of speech is not freedom of reach)

All said: the best long term capital allocation for every content creator is Nostr

Few understand this

But some obvious benefits:

- all the content you post is yours forever

- it’s a backlog of “proof-of-work” that can be discovered at any time

- in built micropayments for direct monetisation

- as long as you keep your npub/nsec secure, it’s yours forever (imagine inheriting a fully developed and sophisticated Nostr account in 30 years time?)

Questions:

- what are the risks to the protocol?

- will it be around in 100 years from now?
