Amazon should focus less on their work from home policy and more on the quality of products on their platform. It’s been downhill for a long time, full of absolute garbage that breaks soon after you buy it. As a long time Amazon customer I find that I’m shopping on the platform less than when things weren’t as bad. It’s even worth waiting fhe longer shipping times and paying higher prices for products just to get something of decent quality.

Who at Amazon works from home? Are the packages shipped from their homes?
Corporate employees…
WFH really damages those corporate office space valuations
I like Amazon for deflationary aspect, but not for quality. this way, I go out of my way to fund local vendors for quality, and Amazon essentials. batteries, dog bags, soap, protein powder, stuff like that.
I ordered an a-frame book shelf from there once, advertised as a wooden shelf, good reviews. Upon arrival, it was already broken. The exposed “wood” behind the paint looked like compressed cardboard. The box it came in was more sturdy 🤣
Anyways, same. Willing to pay more and wait longer for something with decent quality.
2024 has been the drop fb, ms, goog, android year.
I look forward to dropping amazon
I’m very close to it myself. Hard to see any value lately
I stopped paying for prime when every single “same day delivery” was delayed to 2 days or more.
I get same day delivery more often WITHOUT prime, seemingly because they want to lure me to buy prime 😂
very true and it has nothing to do with workers being 'remote'
Somebody has to pay for Jeff Bezos late-life crisis. How else will his wife look so cheap?
Interesting chart .. very sorry to see the rich getting poor 😭 .. I remember many of them were above 200 billion mark couple of years back ..
It is because cheaper products appeal to broader set of people .. this is what happens to every platform when it reaches the masses .. priorities change ..
Thankfully #nostr is a protocol..not a platform ..
