Bitcoin in USA (even in Europe) is still mostly considered as an investissement tool, however in some African regions where having access to a bank account/credit card can be really difficult, if not impossible or prohibited, they treat bitcoin like an actual currency and use it as it should be, I mean they even have bitcoin school class for kids
