Replying to buffalo

People talk about #Bitcoin ossification.

How would that actually work?

Is it just in people's brains that it's not allowed to change?

Or do all opcodes get assigned to something?

Or do we just say it's ossified based on an observation that it's too hard to change?

Kinda just means we all agree to stop working on changing the base layer of the code (L1) and only work on higher levels of development (L2, L3… etc)

So then it would just be a cultural attitude. But I'm thinking that wouldn't stick and the debates continue.

Look at the history of the internet and how it’s built and maintained at the base layer of code.

Really similar in regards to this.
