V4V isn’t working out at all the way I hoped 🫠

3 months in I’ve made $200 ish dollars / 400k sats zaps.

I thought making nostr specific content would help but that performed poorly from a financial perspective.

One off payments from people DM’ing me have been a God Send.

To those people and - you know who you are - thank you. It truly means the world to me 🤩

I’m sticking with this but I’m also doubling down on sponsorship opportunities. I hope you can understand.

If you can’t… well, Man’s gotta eat, pay rent and crucially, pay animators and editors.

And they ain’t cheap.

No SINGLE source of creator revenue will sustain you, not sponsorships, not ad rev, not v4v, not Patreon, not merch.

It is about a diversified portfolio of rev streams.

You made 400k sats in 3 months!

On YouTube, you would need to pull about 100,000-200,000 monetized views (views that had to force your audience through a 5-15sec pre-roll ad) to make the same amount.

My bet is you only made a fraction of those views on NOSTR, and all those earnings were voluntary!
