- 1.2 kg of some kind of beef from the market, cut into small pieces, plus one larger piece as an experiment

I'm planning the same, but I'll be cooking for me. I'm just living on my own.
do I cut it before cook, or after its cooked?
This was also cooked just for me.
First, I cut this in half.
Then, I made another cut, dividing one half into four smaller pieces.
So in the end, I had five pieces: one large (half) and four small ones.
