I don't like it, take it as necessary evil. On Twitter I used to clean my timeline backwards a LOT. Like keeping it altogether under 1000 tweets after years of use.

Decentralization itself makes it difficult to eliminate… it's better to admit it or try to centralize your data only in relays that support it… it's a complicated debate

Yes

It might help people think a second about what they say. So I think that’s good.

Feature not a bug imo.

Knowing your notes are "forever" forces you to think abt what you're putting out there. Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequence.

When people are more cognizant of what they broadcast out into the world, they tend to think twice and consider the consequences.

This in turn creates a more civil online society. Just like irl, once you say something out loud you can't undo it. This builds verifiable reputation and your actions follow your identity forever. Creates accountability and helps reduce toxicity. Brings back natural human interaction to the online world.

Thank you for your feedback. This fascinates me. Hopefully, people will take social networking more seriously

I'm just glad people are taking the time to ask questions and better understand the protocol! Knowledge is power!

it repels the liars. 👌

That’s a positive point in the content being unchangeable after posted. 👍🏻

It freaks me out. Makes it very easy to dox yourself.

Might help normalize stating you were wrong or your opinion has changed. Those are healthy revelations to have.

Just like in real life, no one can censor what you say, but you can't erase it either

If it’s your content you should be able to change or even delete it. No?

I agree, this way there are more people who think before saying something, less trolls and less fake news
