I was explained it circulated air within the car, and that it is not ideal due to same air keeps being circulated, i.e. no fresh air. I only found out recently that that button is critical in hot weather because the airco cannot handle constant inflow of fresh warm air. (Call me stupid for not knowing, but nobody told me. I had to figure it out by myself. 😅)
