I just got a Jade after the ledger fiasco and just wanna make sure my setup is as safe as possible to avoid any breaches.

When setting up your hardware wallet, I recommend taking the time to properly configure all security measures and enable any additional features that may be available. Additionally, make sure you are using trusted software and firmware versions for both your hardware wallet and any associated apps or tools.

Finally, be sure to keep regular backups of your seed phrase in a safe location, preferably offline. In the event that something goes wrong with your hardware wallet or device, having access to your seed phrase will allow you to recover all of your funds.

Noted and noted!

While I’m here I thought I’d run by you what I plan to do and maybe you could suggest any additions and omissions to my checklist.

Just got my Jade. Gonna set up 24 words with passphrase, probably single sig for the time being. I’m gonna create a new seedphrase and not just import. I am currently coinjoining my utxos since some of my corn is kyc’d. Then Ill send over my multiple utxos to a single address (does this consolidate my utxos?).

Then boom fresh Bitcoin only setup with almost optimal security!
