GM ☕ Today begins my annual "infrastructure week", where I review the setup and configuration of every device in my home, office, and lab, audit all MAC addresses seen on their LANs, update/delete/archive software and projects as appropriate, and take the opportunity to make breaking changes that I didn't dare during busier times. Gotta clean out the cruft and stay on top of security...

This is wisdom. My home network setup is awful. All one network with no vlan to segregate traffic (except my entirely offline bitcoin satellite network of 3 nodes).

I should put camera stuff and guest network ok it’s own vlan.

VLANs are great! My annual slog through everything though is mostly to 1) make sure I remember everything, 2) find anything unknown or forgotten about, 3) clear out all the stuff I started and never finished, and 4) take advantage of new things as they become available (like wireguard).
