Superman wants quality but that doesn't mean simple or opaque.

I just see so much, "nostr won't attract people cause it is hard" sentiment. Fine.

Why does it have to be easy?

Why does it have to have mass appeal?

Why can't smart people have nice things that dumb people don't understand?

Why shouldn't people be intimidated and struggle to solve something new?

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

It's not so much that nostr is hard, now. It's that it just doesn't work the same way day to day. Nostr usability (#nostrability) has gotten worse for more people in the year that I've been using nostr. It's mostly because devs are chasing the new and not bothering to fix stuff that is broken. There are tons of empty promises and flashy whizz bang new it's, which make things worse since it's hard to just have basic stuff work the same way or without sudden and catastrophic failures.

But the rest? I'm with you.

To be fair, large network is part of what would add to how nice the thing is, but I see your point
