It’s the worst. I notice it the most in appliances. I was looking at refrigerators and they have all kinds of fancy shit and nearly every one had positive reviews collected by paid promotion and negative reviews that said they either weren’t great or crapped out in two years.

Like, just make one that keeps food cold. That’s all. It doesn’t need a touch screen.
