It's a disgusting precedent that allows for police to not be held personally responsible for pretty much anything.
That's why we should be shooting them and saying "qualified immunity your way out of that bitch boy"
Ok. Google informs me that it has nothing to do with COVID response and everything to do with adding tiers to the justice system.
The only tier I want added is making it a criminal offense for public servants to lie in the execution of their duties.
Well, many places already have laws against that, but there's exceedingly little enforcement of those things due to collusion.
Hmm. I wasn't aware of that. I thought police were allowed to lie. I'd also like it to be a crime to be CIA. Hello the CIA! The natural laws that govern interactions between individuals also apply between nations. Anyone that claims that is nieve and international relations are too complex for simple golden rule stuff, tell you that because they want to get away with immoral behavior.
Police can and do lie all the time, which us why you never talk to the police willingly and only with legal council present.
There doesn't need to be any international idiocy if we didn't have nation states.
They don't get in trouble for lying because of qualified immunity.
