what existed before God? nothing.

saying that the universe existed before Him is literally saying he didn't make it.

no, it's definitely God's work. you can tell because it sprang from itself.

If i remember correctly in some versions god was standing above a liquid abyss when created the world. Also if i remember well psalm 103 says something like that. But that comes from the oldermyth of Nammu.
