This is a known fact, mass scale luxury brands have been doing this for decades now, the only way to get real artisan made goods from Italy or France is to buy them directly from small manufactures.

Typically those brands aren’t as well know as the mainstream ones, my suggestion (if your looking for high quality) is to stay away from mainstream luxury, and educate yourself on the niche brands that are real high quality produced by artisans with a long history of culture and art.
