**Socialism is a Mental Illness**

Socialism, when applied as a system of government, can be compared to metastasized cancer in an organism. Like cancer, it spreads aggressively, infiltrating all structures of the State, from the economy to culture, without respecting boundaries or limits. It consumes available resources uncontrollably, centralizing and depleting the wealth produced by society, leaving little or nothing to sustain the rest of the "organism." Its goal, even if not openly declared, appears to be the gradual destruction of institutions, individual freedom, and private initiative, replacing them with centralized control that ultimately stifles the vitality and creativity that keep a nation alive and prosperous. Like cancer, socialism does not create; it corrodes, until the entire body succumbs.
