If the White House says it was a leak, you can be very sure it wasn't just a leak. It was an entirely intentional release.

_But_ from what I've read pardons are not valid unless you accept your guilt, specifically. Which means the Fauci pardon may be invalid unless he starts admitting things. And only Fauci was pardoned, so lots of people around him could still be put in jail.

Also, Wuhan is a BSL-4 lab. There is no such thing as an accidental leak.
Ackshually 🤪🫠😂 China has such poor standards that SARS was leaked two documented times and probably multiple undocumented times. When you work in an environment where death could be the penalty for speaking up, then most probably won't speak up. Not saying it definitely wasn't an accident, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was.
Accountability would be ideal for sure, but moving away from silos and back to communication may be a better long term play.
