There is a transformative deal in the making which involves using hostage-release to reset Israeli politics, and then use that reset as a basis for a deal between Israel and Saudi Arabia, with American security guarantees underpinning it. There is hope for such a deal because Israel may wish to pause its campaign against Hamas due to losing half of its territory, fighters, tunnels, and leaders, but not the most senior ones.
