#Jumble doesn't load Following and Algo feeds for me. Do I need to do anything?

P.S. I'm experiencing this issue on both desktop and mobile browser.

I’m really sorry about this! The following feed is fetched based on the read relays you’ve set, and I just noticed that your read relays are empty, which is why it couldn’t load. I’ve already fixed this issue in the latest version—if no read relays are set, it will now default to using a few larger relays to load the feed. The latest version is v0.1.0 (d1b8b98). You can check it in the settings.

In a few days, Jumble will add a feature for setting your read/write relays, so you can configure your preferred relays then. Alternatively, you can set them now using another client, like noStrudel.

As for the algo relay, I’m not the operator. It’s still an experimental relay for now, so it’s not very stable. I just tried it myself, and the response time for the algo relay is currently as long as a minute, which might be why Jumble is unable to process it properly.

Thanks for getting back.

I'm not sure how the relay list got empty, because I use other desktop and Android clients. Maybe as nothing was loading, I started toying with the relay setting. It could've made the list empty. Anyway, just a recommendation for the future release, please make the UI as simple for the generic user as possible. That'd be easier for the end-user.

Thanks for your time. Appreciate it.

nostr:npub1syjmjy0dp62dhccq3g97fr87tngvpvzey08llyt6ul58m2zqpzps9wf6wl I just tried now, and the Following list loads as expected. So, thank you for solving the issue for me.

Another issue I'm experiencing, when I'm clicking on this note/post from my profile, it doesn't load. Or takes a long time. I just tried it. And it's not for this note only. I'm experiencing sluggishness for the posts from my profile. Other posts from others' profiles take time, but loads ultimately.

Any idea why it could be happening?

Got it! This is caused by not setting the read/write relays, so Jumble doesn’t know where to fetch your notes from. I’ll spend some time optimizing the experience when the read/write relays aren’t set.

Thank you, nostr:npub1syjmjy0dp62dhccq3g97fr87tngvpvzey08llyt6ul58m2zqpzps9wf6wl. Best wishes for #Jumble.

If you don't mind, I'll keep testing Jumble and send you the issues I experience.

Feel free to send any issues you encounter to me!

And you can try viewing the notes in the profile again in version v0.1.0 (2aba894)

After refreshing the browser cache, "note not loading on profile" issue is solved now. Thanks a lot.

I like how clicking on the quoted from text highlights that. It's a nice touch.

Now, another issue I'm experiencing is, every time I close the browser tab, I need to log in again to Jumble. That's a nuisance. Could you please fix that?

Another issue is, please implement a way to report/mute/block a user. There should be an option to do that in the three-dot menu on their post/note and also on their profile.

Got it

Some nsfw accounts and posts are flooding some tags search and other timelines.

The mute feature is already under development.🤗

Thank you. Great to hear. It would be such a life saver.

fiatjaf also said he encountered this issue, but I have never experienced it. This could be a big problem, but at the moment I don’t know where the issue lies either 🤣 Which method do you use to login?

I use the browser extension login method.

Got it! But this issue can’t be solved for the time being 🤣 I will try more.

Sure. Take your time. I wish I could help in debugging. Best wishes for you though.

Another feature request: typing @ followed by letter should prompt with user suggestions. It's a useful feature to have.

Thank you for your suggestion! That’s actually the main reason I created Jumble. I want it to be a client that anyone can easily use, without needing to understand things like encryption, NIP or lightning. But making something simple is not always easy to achieve. That’s why I haven’t added many features yet. I’m still figuring out how to present them in a way that’s easy to use.

Jumble is still in a very early stage, it doesn’t even have a registration process yet. Thank you for using it, and I look forward to receiving more feedback in the future 🫡
