I'm running umbrel on an old desktop. Install the btc node & public-pool app, put the IP in your bitaxe, you're good to go.
Someday soon I need to wipe it and just install everything on Linux, no handholding. More learning.
Ah there’s a public pool app. Now I get it. And you do it on another node for privacy I imagine?

Yeah. Core connect is through tor, bitaxe connects locally. That way when I never, ever, mine a block it is more private.
