There was a backdoor discovered by Chinese scientists in 2019, which was from the CIA and possibly Mossad.
Thankfully, that backdoor is found in TM SGNL.

I'm sure there are, but that might not be a Signal issue. It has to do with AWS I think.
The link you shared says it was the removal of passphrase for local data encryption is the security weakness. With Molly this is restored.
