Damus works fine with Hellthread, not sure what your issue is?
I muted it in Damus and it came back

It does come back sometimes in nostr:npub1n0stur7q092gyverzc2wfc00e8egkrdnnqq3alhv7p072u89m5es5mk6h0 also. Something to do with my commenting or reacting on a post in the thread. Then I mute again and all is silent.
But I do enjoy being “reminded” now and then …
