Why do the right thing, when if you do the wrong thing and later redeem yourself you are praised much more?

Think alcoholics or unhealthy people. Why are people not praised when they never go that route in the first place?

The story of “how I became sober” is always going to get more attention than “how I don’t drink alcohol”.

The latter might even be met with shouts of “boring!”

Why do anything for the praise of others? Its the highly commended prize of life.

Prodigal son vibes, many can relate to making mistakes and having hope for redemption. We all want this as none of us do the right thing every time.
