A lot of older people I mention #bitcoin to say “I’m too old for that” or “I don’t understand the technology”. And I also remember them saying that about the internet in the early 2000’s, which they now use on a daily basis for banking, social media, etc.

Eventually it just becomes so widely adopted and easy to use that it’s impossible to ignore.

This is the same flush sound we heard with the internet.

BTC is designed to be a younger man’s game.

It’s a feature, not a bug.

I've been trying with my parents to get them involved. My mom picked some up to shut me up, my dad hasn't yet. Funny thing is they don't think cash is going to turn digital if they keep spending paper and refuse to think a CBDC is an actual option

They’re not wrong.

Do they dabble in Gold?

Goldbugs are not our enemy. Same team, different uniforms.

My dad is a PM guy and I am too so I agree with you. My mom typically doesn't like to think about uncomfortable things that upend her world view

I love her immensely though lol

Of course. And she shouldn’t have to worry about certain things.

Here’s the thing, they are 100% right. The USD isn’t going anywhere in our lifetime or the next. BTC convertibility to local currencies is the game for a looooooong time.

Regardless of what doomsdayers say. That’s a fact.

That's fair view point. I think putting your head in the sand is not the healthiest idea for world events though
