Also did the Heltec come with no firmware originally?

Nothing special. Vendor says it comes pre-flashed with Meshtastic but I had to flash this guy. Super easy process

Yes sir. It's nothing special but cost me ~$30USD. Great way to dive in and cut your teeth. Already looking at antennas and other nodes now that I have a better grasp
